As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Jamie specializes in supporting couples—including both birthing and non-birthing parents—and families navigating pregnancy, postpartum adjustment, and the unique challenges associated with NICU experiences. She understands how medical stress, trauma, sleep deprivation, and shifting family roles can place significant strain on relationships during the transition to parenthood.

Jamie’s work focuses on helping couples strengthen communication, deepen emotional connection, and navigate difficult emotions together while caring for themselves and their child. She provides a compassionate and supportive space for families to process grief, anxiety, uncertainty, and the lasting impact of a NICU experience. Jamie is currently pursuing her Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), further expanding her specialized training in perinatal and postpartum mental health.

In addition to supporting families throughout their perinatal and postpartum journeys, Jamie has extensive experience working with teens, tweens, and families facing systemic stress and relationship challenges. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systemic Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques to foster healthier communication patterns and address symptoms of anxiety and depression.

Following the unexpected premature birth of her son, Jamie and her wife spent two months navigating life in the NICU. Today, they cherish the joys and challenges of parenting their energetic toddler. This personal experience deepened Jamie’s passion for supporting couples and families whose paths to parenthood may not have unfolded as they expected, allowing her to bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to her work.
